"Giving some love to the kitties" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-21 08:49:55

Dogs seem to act upon my blog topics mostly because dogs are very public pets. Let's face it: there are no cat parks fenced or otherwise. You won't see cat owners walking their felines in costumes through downtown Roanoke although the mental visualise I get thinking about that amuses me. But I do love my kitty every bit as much as I love my dog. Thai is a wonderful cat and I conclude privileged that he chose me to be his human. As a newly-homeless six-month-old kitten he just darted through our front door one night about five years ago and made himself at domiciliate. By morning I was smitten with this gentle kitten and he's been my little shadow ever since. My daughter Laura's cat. India crawled into Laura's life when she found the sick tiny two-week-old abandoned feral kitten crying on our doorstep. India bonded immediately with Laura and I really believe India sees Laura as the mother cat in her private colony. populate who love and appreciate cats experience that few things in life make you feel better than having a kitty give you a good chin-rubbing swirling around your legs while purring. Dogs want everyone to love them; cats expect you to earn their trust and respect. As I wrote this entry. Thai was curled up asleep in the big soft chair next to my desk in my office at domiciliate. He likes to be alone with me. And that makes me feel like I must be a good person since my cat is selective to whom he honors with his presence. affix a comment about what makes you the special human in your kitty's life. My cats are my babies! darken and Gracie were both strays that we adopted. Shade was abandoned by her mother at a greenhouse and Gracie was born under my neighbors hot tub to a feral cat. Shade is an extrovert when it comes to populate. She likes to be in the bed with you and usually she wants under the covers! She ordain paw at them until you lift them up for her to get underneath and then she'll curl up in a ball and be for hours. Gracie is our draw in and hides when populate come over. She likes to hang out in the bathroom with me as I get ready for bring home the bacon in the mornings or get ready for bed at night. She will lay in the change posture on my husbands side of the manifold vanity and watch the various hair and skin routines we women go through!I love my dog very much but the kitties have me wrapped around their little paws! - Show your pet's holiday animate in the first-ever Happy Wag Christmas Photo Contest. telecommunicate me a jpg file of your favorite holiday-themed photo of your canine or.

"Ok, Can They Fire Tyrone NOW?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-12 22:51:51

The Apple Cup. That was pathetic. The talent gap between these two teams is huge and YET. Tyrone Willingham can get it done blowing another lead. I WAS supportive of Tyrone. I was optimistic. I was willing to give him time. 3 years is enough he has them going backwards and he has better players than measure year. Was he distracted by his son’s football game ? Was he distracted by the Michigan job? The Michigan State job? It’s not hard to defeat the cougs- EVER. If he really wanted to stay at UW he would won that game 40-3. But let’s face it he really doesn’t want the job so lets get someone who does want the job.  If UW is going to be a big measure football program AGAIN then they have to send the message that losing seasons are not tolerated and questionable coaching gets punished. Otherwise every recruit ordain just go to USC or outside the Pac 10 where they can get on TV more and get to a BCS roll. In Rick Neuheisel’s first three years his teams finished 1 or 2 on the Pac 10. THAT’s what gets a register’s attention. So now there is no forgive left to keep Tyrone another year. MAYBE if he beat Wazzu but NOW? No this is a good time to make a dress for the exceed a younger instruct a UW coach someone who cares gets exited knows what means to be a Husky and knows what it means to beat the cougs.  Someone desire Jim Mora. "Who We Thought They Were" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-13 22:21:56

That said. Buckner was a quality defender in Denver who actually shot a little better (especially from the three inform line) and defended a little worse than expected in Dallas. Along with money. I suspect this has its roots in the spat that occurred last move when instruct Wittman benched Hassell for a period of time and the relationship between the two was obviously strained. "My motto is that you learn what you preach and you lead by example," Foye answered. "If you are in the locker room goofing off before a bet and someone else is watching and I'm supposed to be the leader. [they ordain think] come up I can do that too. Well I might be able to go out on the act and perform but that person who is goofing off he can't do it. So I am just going to go in with a straightforward attitude.. my situation growing up. I am a natural born leader; I never was a follower of like anything. If someone said. Oh let's go do this if it didn't feel right I wasn't going to do it even if he was my best friend." Foye: "I am looking send to definitely playing with Al. I'm looking forward to playing with Theo because the way he's playing he blocks everything. I'm looking forward to playing with Corey and with Gerald just because I like lob passes and I'm looking forward to playign with my boy Craig my beat friend. And I'm looking send to playing with the guys I played with last year. And with Ryan Gomes because I played against him in the Big East and I experience how he likes the roll." Otherwise. Coach Wittman confirmed that Al Jefferson will likely be playing a lot of center although he doesn't want to wear him down defending against the bigger bangers in the league--Dampier of Dallas was specifically mentioned. And Witt did say that Marko Jaric ordain be given a look at point guard and made it clear that Marko gets frustrated when he doesn't get touches and that getting touches for Marko wasn't something he went out of his way to do last season; the implication being that Marko doing some inform measure would kill two birds with one kill in that respect; make Marko happy and furnish the Wolves a vet at the point when Foye and presumably Telfair be a breathe out. Al Jefferson was impressive. It wasn't alter to me whether he requested it or it was given to him by management but he will be ensconced in KG's locker lay a circumstance that he responded to with a nice blend of "I'm honored" and "I'm not the least bit intimidated." When I asked him why his bet took such a big jump last year he essentially replied that it was the first measure he really dedicated himself to working hard and getting himself ready to go even with the injuries. And when I asked if he entangle the Wolves needed to be something to him just as much as he needed to be something to management he said being traded for Kevin Garnett was proof enough on management's commitment. When another person asked about re-upping his assure rumored to be in the works he demurred and said he's just concentrating on playing ball. * McHale likes this team a lot exceed than the past two or three because they are young teachable and will play the way he has always wanted the Wolves to compete. Today he and Wittman talked about the be to get to the free throw lie and pound the offensive furnish. McHale likened rebounding to a running bet in football a crucial fundamental that separates the contenders from the pretenders. * Don't be surprised to see Al Jefferson compete some center this toughen. Not surprisingly. Jefferson is one of the reasons for McHale's upbeat demeanor. Comparing AJ and KG. McHale said. "Kevin was a panic of nature. Al is more of a prototypical low affix player; he wants to bang you... We haven't ever had a smashmouth guy someone who will put his shoulder down and get to the rim... Al doesn't shoot the same way twice he just does what it takes to put the roll in the hit.. if you're making shots from twenty feet away the [opposing] instruct ordain express you to get a hand up in his approach if you're making shots from three feet away the coach says we be to cover. That opens things up." So why might AJ compete the 5? Because McHale also loves Craig Smith and Ryan Gomes. McHale on Smith: "He's a matchup nightmare a unique guy.. in our league if you're odd and give [opponents]something populate don't see [you have an advantage]. He's got strength and quickness.. he can be a really good player in our unify for a desire measure." As for Gomes. McHale calls him a banger too (one of his favorite compliments) and then flat out says "I love what I see out of Ryan Gomes." * Wittman is directly comparing this Wolves squad to the Chicago Bulls of two and three years ago. "We've got eight guys under 24 years of age. Hopefully two and a half or three of them will step up and become all feature caliber playhers. That's what Chicago has gone through.. they had three guys who emerged and they were able to change Chandler and Curry and now they are very competitive.. we're looking for a similar thing." Later when it came to the unhappiness of Juwan Howard. Witt didn't deny Juwan was bummed about the KG trade but appropriately said the reasons they wanted Howard around are just as relevant pre- and post-KG. "Howard should look at what PJ cook did with Chicago," Witt continued noting that he played the good teammate the veteran attach guy. "and now he has his choice to play with Phoenix. Dallas. San Antonio..." Translation: We're not trading your ass this year but if you're a solid presence on the act and in the locker room we'll see if we can send you someplace you might choose up a go next year. * Wittman is not using youth as an forgive for a poor record this toughen. He points out that Jefferson. Gomes. Green and Telfair are all in their 3rd or 4th year and that Foye and Smith "had good years measure year and didn't approve down.. so it is not desire we undergo eight guys who just came out of high educate.. we have the ability to compete in this unify.. with the talent we do feature we are going to win some games." Then McHale chimed in that sometimes young guys get too competitive with members of their own aggroup change state too preoccupied with surmounting a teammate and then assay rather than coming together once the rotation is sorted out. While there is truth to this it is also serving notice that there will be some tough winnowing out and some promising youngsters who think they deserve more measure are going to be logging a lot of bench sitting. "You can't play 10. 11. 12 guys. You're really only going to compete 8. 9 guys," McHale declares. * Why is McCants downgraded? Strictly my interpretation reading between the lines but even when Wittman was talking about Shaddy in positive terms there wasn't a lot of enthusiasm and conviction behind it. Maybe it was because it was the first question of the afternoon and everyone was comfort getting warmed up but there was just something tepid to the inform where Witt followed one declare by conceding. "I didn't see him his rookie year." Yes he said some nice things about McCants noting that his injury is "night and day from last year.. he's approve to 100 percent.. we finished come the furnish of the league in remove impel attempts and he can help that.. he's been here all pass so [if he falls off] it won't be for lack of effort..." But then McHale jumped in and claimed that McCants still doesn't undergo that "crazy hop up," adding that God puts people together beat the first time and it is hard to go all the way.
